  Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit.

Oh man! I like this Exosuit very much! Positives: The Front canopy is used in a very cool way. I love the arms becaause they look beefy and match the way the feet are made to a degree. The feet are so cool. Those large black slope parts are very (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Tony's LEGO Stuff v2.0

Instantaneous? Heck Ya! I hate waiting for pics to load, too impatient! I am glad to here that it loads fast. I'm still trickling through with a 28.8 connection, and I think it loads pretty fast, especially after you have the animation cached! (...)   Re: Tony's LEGO Stuff v2.0

Ah yes the intro flash has been corrected. I forgot to put a stop action at the end and to goto url command takes a few frames, so that is why the repeat occured. The flash at the top I am totally buzzed about. I gives you something to look at while (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.publish.html, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: You should all read this (was Re: We need a new curator)

Yeah, this ticks me off. I post a folder full of stuff, and I get plenty of praise but no real help or suggestions. Don't get me wrong, I like you guys, but I also want to learn from you. I don't see that happening right now, and it's a damn shame. (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: How to critique, was Re: We need a new curator

(...) These are words to live by! One of the first "MOC"s I uploaded to my Brickshelf folder was a "replica" of an early Mark Sandlin Lego Creation :^) which turned out horribly rainbowed! It was like Lego Building 101 for me. My piece assortment (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general)

Re: How to critique, was Re: We need a new curator

(...) Ha! I like you. I ALWAYS give constructive and dynamic criticism. My critiques range from "Wow dude that mech is totally awesome!" to the complete end of the spectrum with "Holy cow that mech is pretty friggin cool!" So you see I am a critic (...)   Re: Ok, ok calm down...was Re: CRITICIZE MY MECH AND PHOTOS, NOW!!!...!!!

(...) Don't worry Mark, that was adequate criticism (plus the fact I don't have a clue where any of you live). I make Idle threats all the time, and I'm a pacifist. (...) it looks like a claw because of the picture quality and angle of the pic... I (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Ok, ok calm down...was Re: CRITICIZE MY MECH AND PHOTOS, NOW!!!...!!!

Lesse, at risk at having Aiyaz come to my home and kick me in the balls... It looks goblinny enough. Wasp waisted, big torso, funky head. I find it interesting how the gla gla hand thing looks more claw like on this mech. No reason why it should, it (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

How to critique, was Re: We need a new curator

Critiquing is kind of tricky. It takes a certain amount of maturity on both sides of the table. To paraphrase one of my mentors (warning, he wasn't the kindest of souls. I remember the triage of broken souls after his class.); 'Don't tell me what (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general)

Re: Sea Monkey Attack Vehicle - the Attack Crab

(...) Ay Dios Mio! Joe, I don't even know where to begin. Not only is the model cool in general, but you've managed to capture the theme excellently. I love the cockpit and use of non conventional colors. I've said it before and I'll say it again. (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.build.mecha)

CRITICIZE MY MECH AND PHOTOS, NOW!!!...!!!

Thru the whole curator thing we have had criticism of people, and this has made a very nice sideways tree at the bottom. (if you don't criticize me on this, I will kick you in the balls.) Anyway, with my sucky digital camera, I had taken pictures of (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: You should all read this (was Re: We need a new curator)

(...) God bless you Tony. That was a wonderful post. I'm farily new to LUGNET, but not to the creative process, and in the above passage there is an important lesson that any creative person (ie. everyone on LUGNET) needs to learn. That lesson can (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Tony's LEGO Stuff v2.0

This looks incredible Tony. Not only is the Flash beautiful, but it compliments the site rather than overpowering it. The presentation is clean and pro, the navigation easy, and of course the content rocks as always. Viewing it on XPpro thru a 56.6k (...)   Re: You should all read this (was Re: We need a new curator)

In lugnet.build.mecha, Tony Knaak writes: <snip> (...) I agree. The lack of contructive criticism is a problem. Although I think a part of the problem might be on the builder's part, as well. Some people can't take criticism, and if they get just (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general)

(...) just made [1]. It seems to be happening more and more, not just in .mecha, but everywhere else as well - Someone will post a MOC, and just recieve the "hey, that's cool!" message six times over. I'm just wondering what's causing this. Apathy? (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Discussion Structure Trouble? (was: Re: We need a new curator)

(...) I have to disagree with your point here. I see the organization system here as a blessing for critiques and discussion of work. In a normal forum, say EZBoard, all of the comments just pile onto each other and half the time the reader has to (...) (22 years ago, 9-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general)

You should all read this (was Re: We need a new curator)

(...) Hoooly crap! Someone finally had the balls to say it! I have been wanting to rant about this, but I figured everyone would think I am a jerk off. Now I get to prove it :D Anyway to my point...
