  Re: Mecha-newbie!

(...) Hello! Welcome! Hmmm, what is a mecha? Well, not that I claim to know the exact definition, but it is generally some big, generally piloted type of robot thingy. You see lots of them sprinkled gratuitously in Japanese anime. But here, our (...) (23 years ago, 5-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: PNLTC display in Edmonds, WA

(...) We very much would like to see some mechs at future train shows. That was absolutely fantastic. What amused me was how the kids just crowded around whenever one of you took a mech off the table to show it off. The poor train modelers didn't (...) Just so there is no Confusion, LYB is sporting it's Snow Leopard Clan Fan Insignia from Mecha Master Mark Neumann. Fashionable in the year 70483, sort of like the "Rock T-Shirts" of the times long past back in ancient yor. Legomaster (...) (23 years ago, 5-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Mecha-newbie!

Hi there! I've seen some pictures of LEGO Mechas and I must say they do look awesome! Is there a good way to enter the world of Mechas? I really don't know anything about them except the LEGO MOC's I've seen and honestly, most of the language goes (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Codename Carver

(...) pic, I was intrigued by the hint of a worm gear in the thigh area. My favorite parts of this mecha are the head and the feet. I also like the way you made the lower legs, with the Gundam-esque bulge. A fine model indeed! And it looks very (...) (...) I know. But we had a plan. It was a good plan, reallly. That's a very elegant and graceful looking mecha. It reminds me of a deadly ballerina dancer or something, heh. Good work! I'm interested in the engineering of that mecha. Eric, thanks man. (...) I chose to make it look "lighter" by not building the traditional mecha "skirt." Instead I thought the incased/exposed gears looked cool. (...) Hey, here's some more pics, thought I'd add. (URL) mention though, if this isn't a first for cross posting mecha and trains, I'm pretty sure it's a first in intergrating mecha and train layouts.
