Hello! Welcome!
Hmmm, what is a mecha? Well, not that I claim to know the exact definition,
but it is generally some big, generally piloted type of robot thingy. You see
lots of them sprinkled gratuitously in Japanese anime. But here, our
definition is broad; people who build dragons for their castle lands post here,
too!
One of the main issues we deal with here is how to make a model stand; what
kind of joints to we use to mimic human motion, while at the same time
supporting the weight of the model.
I checked out your site; you seem to have a very in depth knowledge of technic
parts and what not. My suggestion would be for you to attack this problem
using your experience with technic i.e. your six legged walker. Worm gears are
great for supporting weight and allowing for poseability. You can either make
a sort of skeletal type of mecha which prominently displays the technical
aspects of the model, or you can hide those under normal brick armour.
BTW, your "Pin Art" Creation is very unique and clever! I'll have to check out
your site some more.
Anyway, good luck, and welcome again!
Chris

| Hi there! I've seen some pictures of LEGO Mechas and I must say they do look awesome! Is there a good way to enter the world of Mechas? I really don't know anything about them except the LEGO MOC's I've seen and honestly, most of the language goes (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
