Hello, I would recommend a great resource to the Mecha comunity and it's
called the Lego Mecha Hall of Fame.

Check it out:

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=Mecha-Hall-of-Fame

This is a good place to look around and get familiar with some fine examples
of Lego Mecha. Plus if your interested in someones works you can follow
links to see more of that persons creations.

And you can visit my lil Web-site!

Lastly, Buying sets that have cool pcs. is just about the only rule to
follow, lot's of space, star wars and Technic, oh yes don't forget Technic,
it's the basis of how I build for example. Also depending what ever color
you decide to build in, just about any set will do as long as it has colors
and elements you like or think you could use.

I generally start with a windsheild, canopy or something I can make a head
with. Then I make the hands, and progress towards the shoulders and chest.

Take a break, catch your breath, re-examine the pcs. you have and begin the
feet and or hips. It all sort of comes together. Weight and size go hand and
hand. Build what you think is cool and just blend the rest together using
the human form as a guide.

What ever works for you. If you stick with it and you make it stand, well
then your a Mecher, welcome to the club.

I think everyone should give it a whirl. I hope to inspire folks to open
thier horizons. Good luck.

Hi there! I've seen some pictures of LEGO Mechas and I must say they do look awesome! Is there a good way to enter the world of Mechas? I really don't know anything about them except the LEGO MOC's I've seen and honestly, most of the language goes (...) (22 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)
