(...) I saw your suggestion about the cling wrap before and I used it on my own mecha to make the friction pins fit tighter in place. It works great! What's the best way to tighten up technic friction pin joints used for mecha? I have an old-style technic pin (a little tighter than the newer ones with the rectangular cutouts) holding the shoulders and hips of my new mech together. The shoulders (...) I built the Marauder, as you've probably heard, and did my best to 'colorize' it in a grey/dark grey color scheme..... and then used it at the BrikWar event. Hey guys. I just finished reading the four Appleseed books and have been flipping through my old copy of Ghost in the Shell. I made a Fuchikoma thats about technic figure scale although the figure can't fit in it-- its kind of like the large Gakken (...) Sure it's mecha... Wow! I love the way you did the joints, very creative! I also like the upper body, and the front chin mounted laser cannons, great job! Questions: Did you build it in real life? Here's a sneak preview of my very first mecha. It's currently named Green Goblin, but we'll see if that name sticks. I don't particularly think he looks like a goblin. I think Mark is referring to mecha that is anthropomorphically female, not mecha that is piloted by a female. The Queadlunn-Rau armor, while designated as female armor, doesn't look female or make you think of the female form. But I'm a Macross (...) (25 years ago, 15-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Thanks Mark! The cockpit entry isn't anything special, I don't know why you guys seem to like it so much. You can get all technic parts you gonna need in order to build the ankles from current sets - if you just purchase supplementary packs you even won't have to spend much money. LEGO Technic Set 8226 "Off Roader" is a good source too. (25 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.build.mecha)

I built Primus BuS' Marauder. I'm finished with it down to the ankles. However, the supplied design does not hold the mech's weight - it falls over backwards when I try and stand it up. (...) you see if they where specialized bullets then you have a problem when mine comes out of the water, its probalby bigger then 3/4 of yours then it got its pulse underwater laser and its missiles so you got a bigger problem not to menter the (...)
