Well, it's kinda annoying to do, but something I did for my mech (the legs
would just bow right out when I tried to pose him) was a method using paper
slips. I cut some very narrow slips of paper, and for each technic pin joint,
I would stick a paper slip in the two notches at the end of the pin (both ends
actually). Then, with the 'excess' paper that was sticking out the end of the
notch, I would wrap it around the technic pin, and very carefully stick the
pin back into the technic peghole. The paper was very tough to situate
correctly, but when it was in, it actually did a pretty good job of keeping a
firmer grip than a technic pin alone...
Hope that helps!
