Greg, Good job! Modeling mecha is never easy. I mean, it took Mother Nature (1) how many millions of years to get the human body to work the way it does. I also like using technic pegs for machine guns (or rail guns or laser cannons or ...), I first saw them being used by Jeremy Sproat and, I think, Pat Justison, come to think of it, even some of my friends at school were telling me about using them (...) I really like this hard-suit because it is similar to Ron and Randy's battle armour which was about the size of a mini-fig. Oh! This model was inspired by the anime movie: Big Wars. Anytime you feel like sharing that, well, go right ahead! =) I've gotten pretty frustrated trying to import files into 3DSMax. dat2dxf works but my models end up having over 70,000 polygons (in at least one case) and become to cumbersome to work (...) I think he's referring to my brick buttons, not the background. Those are 3d studio bricks, I've built my own database (though it's a ways from being complete). Thanks. I'd have to agree with you on the color scheme, but so many of my vehicles are patchwork colors (thanks to the fact that I don't always dig into the LEGO storage cabinet) that I decided to take a que from your building tips regarding color. Same story with me, Ben. I've got 5 mecha up and two more awaiting photographing, and only 3 aerospace and two wheeled/tracked. (Although the M3V counts as 3 so far, I guess.) (...) Some news: ~ Not all PSX games will work on the PSX2. Those that don't use specific hardware in the original system. Sony will be releasing a list of most of the incompatible games (I don't think it will be a very long list). I'm not sure if (...) I just saw that Square's Front Mission 3 (PSX) will be released on the 22nd of March here in the US! Yay!! Square is finally going to release one of their excellent Mecha Strategy games here! Say, is there a good guide around anywhere to mech terminology, especially weapon types? One of the notations I've seen a lot of, for instance, is "SRM##", where the ##'s seem to be the count of rockets (i.e., SRM8 or SRM20). At this point, I can (...) It's true that many of them are heavily ornamental, but if you scour through some of the 20-odd different series, you can find more "military" looking mecha. Some of my favorites: Zeta (...)
