So, what say you?

Are you up for the challenge?

Eric, man, I don't care what names people call you - defend your building skill.
Win - or lose, whatever.  But don't walk away.  It's not to entertain Soren or
anything like that - it's for the community.  You should throw your hat back in
the ring and say "THIS is how we mecha folk resolve our conflicts - through
competitive building, not name calling."

Let's do this!

Chris

Chris, you are beautiful. That is exactly why I told him, "just challenge me
already!"

We need a way to resolve our differences.
I am trying like heck to live a good life.
All I get from Soren is heart ache.

Better to have an honest challenge then to continue the cycle of cruelty.

I was trying to follow through, Soren decided to get nasty again, circumventing
the very reason we started to discuss a contest; to end the cruelty.

Still I like what you wrote. You of all people know the legnths I have gone to
in order to support and encourage him. An open contest between the two of us in
good faith to put an end to our differences through the stakes is what I had in
mind.

Like, if you loose, you promise to lay off of me, and if I loose, I um,,,, I'll
give you my ribbed hoses, for your pleasure. Or what have you.

;)

hahahahahaha,

I can't get in to a contest to end this dispute only to have insults hurled
again at me during the contest discussion phase. With such cruelty to boot.

Don't read anymore if you can't take some nastiness, because you just got my back up. Eric, your constant whinging, passive-aggressive personal attacks, and cowering behind the skirts of someone who actually posted a new set of rules, are all really (...) (...) If the actions of an individual you know only from a forum such as this is genuinely causing you heartache, you really need to take a step back and re-examine your priorities, because you're investing way too much emotion here. (...) Okay, fine, you're not whining. But I still think a contest should be a little more than "Eric, I challenge you to build what I build better than me." I like the design, and most of my experience is in the 12 inch range; but I like the idea of (...) (19 years ago, 20-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.contests)
