Ahhh - If only there were more geeky questions ansd real challenges
other than foul mouths and name calling.
By the way - I cannot actually access that link Soren posted.

Anyway - there is nothing like a good arms war to improve technology,
we could all learn from it.

I'll be a solitary judge if both parties agree to it.  I feel I know both
Soren and Eric fairly well and I think they both could count on me to be
fair.

However, I think a great idea would be to add a twist.  After all, builder
greatness is always determined when we venture into unfamiliar territory.

Eric's mech MUST be of a distinct Anime style and have a minimum of ONE
weapon.

Soren's mech MUST incorporate technic works for build design.  Minimum ONE
geared joint or mechanism.

This leaves a lot of leeway for the two of you.  Get to work.

Actually, at the risk of getting myself saddled with worse, I've already done
that. The Zephyr has a pair of gearboxes for a waist, and I'd probably do this
one the same way.

Really geeky question - would we be measuring from the shoulders, a la the FSS
manga? :)

(...) For some reason my Firefox wouldn't open it. I tried the link in IE and it worked ok. But I see cutting and pasting "(URL) into the address bar works ok in Firefox also. Give some of these things a shot Danny. (19 years ago, 19-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.contests)
