This is a Baroque villa based on Villa Amerika, in Prague (1720). I'm afraid that not all of the ornamentation comes through in the LEGO version. Nice. I like a lot of different things about it. I like the very small transept and choir. Usually small churches are purely rectangular. Only larger buildings tend to exhibit the cross-like geometry. I like how this one has the mini-transept and (...) (24 years ago, 23-Nov-00, to lugnet.build.arch)

Actually, I've used www.greatbuildings.com, but this is more of a reference rather than a tutorial. Also, they are annoyingly lacking pictures on about 3/4 of their building descriptions! Here is a link to a plan diagram of fairly typical cathedral. Cathedrals derive their plan form from the basilica. (URL) Tower should face West (often referred to as the West works) 2. Churches often have some sort of underground rooms. Cathedrals generally have crypts for notable dead people underneath them, or for relics or whatever. Interesting. My information on Bauhaus is actually a bit limited. I'm basing it on a few write-ups an a few pictures I've seen.
