AucZILLA term for this is 2x2 - 1x4 hinge plate (or brick, it also comes
in a brick version)

"2x2 - 1x4"?  Hmmmm.  Either we're talking about slightly different things
or I'm not understanding the naming convention.[1]  Each part of what I've
got is one dot deep, two long.

| o  o |=   and  =| o  o |  "=" is the hinge

Is there a LDraw part # for these, so we can verify that we're talking about
the same thing?[2]

1 - which is _extremely_ possible.
2 - I'm very new here, having just entered (re-entered?) the
Lego/Technic/Mindstorm world at Christmas, but have at least figured out
that this is one marvelous tool!

(...) Try 4275 and 4276. I believe this is what your ascii art is. Also look at 4531. Larry is probably talking about 2429 and 2430 - closed, these form a 2x2, open they form a 1x4. -- Terry K -- (25 years ago, 14-Jan-99, to lugnet.build)
