Bradley, Is the tail of the doga 2x1 curved brick with plate, aka PartsRef # 6091? (24 years ago, 14-Sep-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

Re: Best sets for creating foliage?

The old pirate sets had a lot of the palm tree pieces. Unfortunatly, you can't get those any more. I managed to get a bunch of this stuff by trading with neighborhood children that felt themselves to be too "old' for LEGO. Make friends with the (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: A challenging way to build--

I used to ignore the main model and strip all new sets for pieces in MOC's. Recently, I started building the main model if its good, but they usually are really easy. For a given project size, I've found that a MOC takes 3-5 times longer than (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: My Moc's

I figured this out once upon a time, because I bought a Diakron (American version of Diaclone) toy that came with 2 of the li'l guys. I was pretty excited that I had people to put in my Transformers! (URL) my suspicions were confirmed when I read (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Space Port - female astronaut?

(...) <snip> Yes she is female. Jude Can you please post pictures of the catalog? :-) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Space Port - female astronaut?

(...) Yes. (...) Try (URL) Richard (interrupting important mecha work to scan this little one) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Space Port - female astronaut?

Hi y'all... Thumbing through the new fall catalog (just got here today), I stumbled across a close-up pic of the rocket from <set:6456> (this is on page 45). Well, there's a floating astronaut (freeing the satellite I guess) and the face seems to (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: My Moc's

<Yoda's voice on> Yes, listen to Mark S. and Adrian, wise are they... Hmmm... Yes, listen you must... <Yoda's voice off> Yeah, Saran wrap/paper is great for creating those stiff shoulders. Also I would think that double Throwbot ball-joints would (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.build)

Re: Best sets for creating foliage?

Try this site for nice pics of tall trees (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: My Moc's

(...) I asked that exact question back here: (URL) best thing that worked for me was to cut small pieces of paper in strips, then fold the strips up (i think I ended up with 10 layers or so of paper) and cut them to be just a little longer and wider (...)   RE: Two original Technic creations

Jennifer, I was involved in crane load-moment indicators way back when, and was further impressed after I read the content on your site carefully. You obviously know more than a little about these cranes yourself... You might explain that a (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build)

  A challenging way to build--

I've been getting too quick in building lego projects. For the $, I'd like the building time to last longer...an idea I've been using on the UCS Star Wars models and others is to not obey the instruction books--but instead, build from front to back, (...)   RE: Two original Technic creations

(...) Ummm, are you married? Just kidding :-) These are really wonderful models that capture the feeling of what they are modelling. I've found that the recent Technic models do not "feel" right. The Police Beach Buggy, and the idiotic CyberSlam (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build)

Re: Yet another site update (been busy!)

(...) I do have two copies of that set that I got for cheap at Zany Brainy. The rest of the big panels came from various space sets (including 2 of Exploriens 6958). I have since acquired a few more of these panel pieces from a parts sale site for a (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.build)

  Best sets for creating foliage?

Hi, Assuming that one doesn't have access to bulk ordering or e-bay (most of the people there only send to USA), which sets would you buy to create plants? For palm trees, I've already bought two 5948 Osasis Ambush, and have a few more foliage (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: My Moc's

(...) Nope. The original Diaclone series came with little men that drove/flew the robots, and the American Transformers series kept the access to the cockpits while doing away with actually giving you the little men. Therefore, Optimus' cab opens, (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: My Moc's

(...) One thing I like about your Optimus is the fact that he transforms, is poseable, -and- looks good in both modes. I've seen several transforming LEGO robots, but not all of them look good and are functional in both modes. (...) That's also a (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: My Moc's

(Is there a way to tie your reply to multiple messages?) (...) Mark S, Bryce: Thanks for your kind comments, but do remember I didn't come up with the idea for doing a Lego Transformer. Mike Wampole's Legobots (and Joel Kuester's Lego Transformers) (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.build)

  Two original Technic creations

Hi folks, I've just put a new website online with a couple of my recent Technic creations, a "technic figure scale" skid steer loader and a mobile crane. The loader is fully operated by pneumatics and motors, and the crane by motors. I've put a lot (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build) !!
