Nope. The original Diaclone series came with little men that drove/flew the
robots, and the American Transformers series kept the access to the cockpits
while doing away with actually giving you the little men. Therefore, Optimus'
cab opens, Ironhide and Ratchet have seats where their heads "should" be,
Starscream et al have opening cockpits, and so on.
Of course, in the absence of little men, most of the people I knew kept
Optimus' hands in his cab. But it wasn't designed for that purpose.

| I figured this out once upon a time, because I bought a Diakron (American version of Diaclone) toy that came with 2 of the li'l guys. I was pretty excited that I had people to put in my Transformers! (URL) my suspicions were confirmed when I read (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.build)
