Re: Moonbase Module: Mauser Support Facility

Hey Keith, Whether it's five unfolded fingers across the face or a shot in the arm, smack is just bad for you and everybody else. The impression that I get, judging by your writing style, that "smack" is just another way of saying that you have a (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mauser Support Facility

(...) Well as far as the actually MOC is concerned, it is as usual, awesome. I like the boxyness. It works on this. (doesn't always) As far as the 'mech'... (...) Smack?! Ppfft. "You Homo Sapiens and your Mechs." You don't even have any orbital (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: JuggerGnat

(...) about this guy except the (slightly overexcessive) use of decorated tiles. Sort of jumbles things about a bit. But great joint tech - I really like the way the cockpit opens up. I need to get back to that style; I haven't done one of those for (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Posable Horse Minifig Scale (or close enough)

(...) If you drop it, it will break. ;) Also, if kids were to play with it with the usual gusto that goes with Lego I wouldn't put money on it lasting too long. However, it can be handled reasonably, and as seen in this view: (URL) holds it's pose (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Re: Posable Horse Minifig Scale (or close enough)

(...) Yup, the whole neck structure is the Achilles Heel as far as presentation is concerned. I'm going to post some alternates. One that's before me now offers even more movement up/down, so I may stick with that. My first attempt was truly ugly -- (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Re: Posable Horse Minifig Scale (or close enough)

(...) My current problem for joints is parts selection. I don't have the 2 & 3 fingered hinge plates that would be needed for the other approach I'd envisioned. I think they would work well, but I'm not sure if the length of the legs would be too (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Re: Posable Horse Minifig Scale (or close enough)

(...) Its not ugly, just colorful! Actually i think it looks rather cool and alot more useful than the molded ones. I think if the colors were the same, it would look pretty good and i could verify that if i wasnt sitting over 150 miles from my (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Re: Moonbase Module: Mauser Support Facility

(...) I disagree with j0n on the boxy aspect of your module. Yeah, it's boxy. But it's a good kind of boxy. It's a big monolithic keep-the-little-man-down kind of box. It has a sense of design about it, even if that design is totalitarian. The mech (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  New MOC: JuggerGnat

My first submission to space and/or mecha in ... actually, I don't know that I've ever posted a space-ish MOC before. So here goes: (URL) at just over two-minifigs-tall, the JuggerGnat (note spelling - *not* juggerNAUT) is a small mech or large suit (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space) !

Re: Moonbase Module: Mauser Support Facility

(...) Frank Zappa. (...) I'm thinking Arctic Landmate facility. Gonna be fun. (...) Okay. I just think of combat mecha as a fantasy anyway, no matter what the style. I actually like the Mauser quite a bit, I just don't think it's any more (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
