Also, if kids were to play with it with the usual gusto that goes with Lego I
wouldn't put money on it lasting too long.

However, it can be handled reasonably, and as seen in this view:

it holds it's pose quite well. As with any horse statuary, a minimum three-point
stand is necessary (one exception - a two-point statue outside the Hofburg,
Vienna).

I can imagine using some clear bricks to act as a stand underneath if someone
wanted to have a galloping pose.
