Hey thanks, they look a bit big because I went balls out making them sturdy and functional. I figured the ankles would be the most important joint in making the Robot stand. As for making it walk. Cool. I really like the droids- they look really mechanical. The Optimus Prime is pretty good, too. The pictures of it transforming are really cool- you don't see those types of pictures much. LEGOLAND Billund (and soon, Windsor/Carlsbad) now has a fairly comprehensive selection of transparent bricks for sale in bulk, so 'stained glass' mosaics should now become possible, and relatively affordable. Personally I think they suck. The range of motion is very limited and if you exceed that limit, the two halves of the ball pull apart and joint breaks. POP! End of story. I don't know if anybody has seen this or not, but Casper van Nimwegen has constructed and excellent MOC called the Temple of Portunus. Its one of the best things I've seen on brickshelf in a while. I don't know where I'll shave the next part, but here is the Diet Walker. It walks and is very sturdy due to the elastic band being replaced by gears. The feet do work, and are much more sturdy than I thought they might be. (URL) me know what you (...) Richard, after reading you webpage in detail, I see you are also considering a 'stained glass' mosaic. I've been collecting trans-bricks for some time as well, but still only have a lot of red (mainly -- about 500 1x1). I hope with the possibility (...) Very cool mosaic. I really like your technique of making it two studs thick and using 1xlong bricks on the back for structural stability.
