Hey thanks, they look a bit big because I went balls out making them sturdy and functional. I figured the ankles would be the most important joint in making the Robot stand. As for making it walk. Personally I think they suck. The range of motion is very limited and if you exceed that limit, the two halves of the ball pull apart and joint breaks. POP! End of story. I don't know where I'll shave the next part, but here is the Diet Walker. It walks and is very sturdy due to the elastic band being replaced by gears. Richard, after reading you webpage in detail, I see you are also considering a 'stained glass' mosaic. Very cool mosaic. I really like your technique of making it two studs thick and using 1xlong bricks on the back for structural stability.
