Moonbase Project 1 month (and a day) old!

I was gonna post this yesterday but got sidetracked. Its been a month since we announced the Moonbase Project. I think its come a long way even since then. :-) Even though we don't really have the section up, I thought this would be a nice time to (...)   Re: A Mid Summer's Study

Well, truth be told. I've been pondering over the idea of going to the NW BrickCon and taking this with me to present as a MOC. Been stuck in So Cal for so long (exception being Las Vegas) that I want to go outside the bounds of the SW. Besides, (...) (22 years ago, 27-Aug-02, to lugnet.build)

Trying to find anyone/anywhere that keeps sticker/decal scans

I am trying to fixup my 5590/5580 trucks and with the new decal printing paper figured that would be a good way to go, but anyone/someone with a site that stores the decal scans would be great!!! I am trying to make scans of anything I have left (...) (22 years ago, 27-Aug-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: A Mid Summer's Study

Thanks for your complement of study 4. That was really one of those "What can I do with just (blank)." ideas. I could use any color as long as it was light gray and any sizes of brick as long as they were 1x2 and 2x4. Those were the only (...) (22 years ago, 27-Aug-02, to lugnet.build)

OMG! (Re: A Mid Summer's Study)

Gang, OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE! Please forgive my horrible math. Height and depth values are good but the length values are WAY OFF!!!!! So here are the corrected values: Overall length: 288 studs (NOW that's equivalent to 18 straight rails) Distance (...) (22 years ago, 27-Aug-02, to lugnet.build)

  NWBrickCon Moonbase question

Hey gang, we're working on the footprint for MOCs and we want to get a good feel for how much space to dedicate to the Moonbase. So if you're planning on coming to NWBrickCon, and bringing a moonbase module, sound off. It'll help us organize the con (...) Adrian, Fantastic and creative use of regular bricks to make beautifully functional works of architecture! Works like this inspire me to try hard to do something different, and are the reason I joined Lugnet. I'm muchly impressed with the simple (...) (22 years ago, 26-Aug-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: A Mid Summer's Study

Thanks for your complement. I did consider using the 1x2 in the manner you mention. It would have been easier to set down the bricks above (a 2x8 sitting above a single column of 1x1s 14 bricks high) and could easily been purchased through SAH. I (...) (22 years ago, 26-Aug-02, to lugnet.build)

Thanks for the compliment! Cross your finger for 2003. You're right; it did take some time. Part of the hold up were the number of brick link I had to make just to finish it.
