Thanks for the compliment!  Cross your finger for 2003.

You're right; it did take some time. Part of the hold up were the number of
brick link I had to make just to finish it.  One moment I thought I was OK,
then discovered I needed more.  (What really got me PO'ed was when SAH said
1x6 light gray bricks were no longer available and needed another 150!)

Another element of time was looking over the layering of Study 1:

It's not the best picture, but its arc has a more "bullet nose" profile that
I wasn't too thrilled with and knew I had to come out with something better.
So, I decided to try a 1: x at the top end  to 1:1 around the mid  to  y:1
as you approach the base (x = studs, y = bricks), almost a hyperbola.  There
was some "tweaking" to get that taper as it approached the top.  Generally
speaking, I feel better with Study 6 than Study 1.

Well, finally got done with them.

..and I bet this took some time.  What I found interesting was that the
piece really looked like a work of art.  The color and style looked right • at
home with the decor in your living room.  Very classy piece and I look
forward to seeing how you incorporate this bridge into your layout.
