Thanks. Actually, this color scheme is possible. The only problem is that to get most of the sand green parts, you need the Statue of Liberty sculpture ($200 - ouch). I'm sure the other common colors would look good in place of the sand green. (...) (23 years ago, 5-Feb-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Depending on size, I try to get decent elbow and knee movement; good hip and ankle movement for a leg forward stance or legs apart stance; and arm rotation along each axis. This is the first mecha I've gotten to kneel. Of course, my previous mecha weren't built with kneeling in mind. I don't know what to call that melee weapon, but it's my first success at that type. wow! And he's at it again! yeesh! This is one awesome mecha! I agree with what Brian said, it is definitely not from this planet, and looks like it could be a sort of planetary explorer type mecha. Hey neat, I like this one, loks like it has good poseability and is really nicely detailed. I love the backpack as well. (...) thanks, unfortunately, the landing gear do not support the entire heli, when I was building them, it supported what I had so far easily, but the moment I added the back, it all went down hill from there, and it (...) Cool! You managed to use two rather difficult pieces together to make a really cool looking torso. The canopy with the "18" is perfect. Not bad, not bad. I like the hatches. The head piece especially. Everything looks like it would seal up nicely too. legs and feet are pretty darn cool as well. Don't know what to say except that you've done a really good looking mecha. My first impression was, "cool! Ninja." I think the only suggestion I can add is do a hth weapon. Like a sword. Okay here's number two. It's a medium-sized rocket Mech for an upcoming BrikWars game. It has two banks of 4 MkII missiles and two sets of 2 MkII lasers. Glad you like my mechs. Yes, the gray one was influenced by the Zaku, but actually was originally a copy of a Heavy Gear mech I saw; it sort of evolved into what you see now as the result of a couple of overhauls. Thanks cousin Mladen! I was hopeing to add somthing to the shoulder area to help "hide" or "tuck" the head more closer to the body. I know it seems a little big. Chris Thanks! It does have two small teeth. (URL) kept the front of the mouth free of teeth because it interfeered with the mouth closing all the way. (...) Ah, a highly underused technique, IMO. But then, lots of builders aren't that concerned with extreme articulation-- it's also hard to manage, IRL. Thanks Eric. The helmet was the first or second thing built. The modified engine might have been first. I just made a new set of hands. I'll have new images up in a day or so. Travis, I checked out the Nosrai, what I like best is the way the head covers the minifig when it closes. The feet are interesting too. Jim, your Kung-fu is good! When you say you have studied the builders around here your right! I see many familar design techniques, none the less you've done a great job combining them together. Thanks for the high praise. Sorry for the late reply; I've been preoccupied with my latest mecha. For my dragon, I've had the head, complete with working jaws, built for a couple of weeks. Always fun to see what's new from you! Like those hidden missile pods and guns behind the doors. I also remember your patented use of the 1x2 flouro-yellow plates from your Hoverthing winner. i like it the hinged missile bays are totally sweet and seamlessly integrated (the others just don't seem as neat after looking at the hinged ones) i agree w/ bram about the tiny winglets looking kinda tacked on... nice colors too and i like the (...) I was even going to have shoulder mounted flags. but I don't have any of the really big flags (I didn't try the sorta big bulls flag) but the "normal" flags were too small. (...)
