Great! I already have a few ideas in my head. I would have 'borrowed' the
idea anyway, but without your approval I wouldn't have publically posted any
pics of the MOC. I've been dieing to have a dragon with a 'beaked' mouth.
I've seen many fantasy artists giving drakes/dragons a 'beaked' end to their
snout, and I think with your design I'll be able to do just that. Plus, with
the much smaller head, I'll be able to craft a much smaller body and thus,
wings that look much more full and lovely. I list as an example of how this is
not illustrated in my CAD red dragon:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=86146
All in all I'll most likely be making a drake, much like yours, with forearms
acting as wings, instead of them being a 3rd pair of appendages. However, I
may yet go with a dragon style design of arms, legs and wings. Time will
tell how the 'beaking' works out. I'll post pics when I actually have
something to show off.
On a different note, I've been eyeing your creations as well. In fact I've
been thinking about what I will do after my current website story is done, and
one idea is mecha. I've already been talking with Bryce McGlone on this one.
It would be just a matter of me learning how to do joints well and I'd be on my
way. I especially like your mechs as I am much more fond of the 'mechwarrior'
style of mecha, as opposed to the 'Gundam' style. That's not to say that
humanoid mecha aren't pretty, just not functional in my opinion. Then again,
you mecha guys don't need any more talent in your gene pool. Who knows.
