  Re: RCX battery cover)

(...) Couldn't you use one of the 9V battery boxes from the old Light&Sound sets? That way you could use regular electric LEGO plates and wires to hook everything up--a pure LEGO solution. --Bram Bram Lambrecht / o o \ BramL@juno.com (...)   mini powered vehicles (was Re: RCX battery cover)

I have half a mind to build a LEGO-compatible 9V battery holder just to try some tiny vehicle designs. Without an RCX you can't make it do much, but it would still be really fun to build small Technic models powered by a 9V battery and a micromotor. (...)   Re: New Technic Supercar 8448

(...) ^^^ I forgot one important word. (...) A mystery: The front suspension is nicely soft, to the point where it might need additional springing when a brick-based body is put on. The rear suspension, however, which appears to have near-identical (...) (25 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New Technic Supercar 8448

(...) Correction: Pathetic. IMO, pieces with holes alone do make a construction "Technic", when there's neither form nor function. It all looks awful and consists of 90% angle beams. ...and the dashboard does not connect at all to the steering (...) (25 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New Technic Supercar 8448

(...) No, I meant the 5 sub-boxes that make up frame, fr/rr suspension, motor, and transmission. Actually, there's a 6th for dashboard and seats (not too great). (...) More new parts: there's a new axle, which is as follows: 1 stud of plain axle, (...) (25 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Space Original Creations Etc.

(...) Not to nitpick too much, but I think you need to rotate your ring. In a space station, gravity is made by spinning. This produces artificial gravity toward the outside of the ring. This would make the very outside the floor, but you currently (...) (25 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Fluid inside Pneumatics

(...) I just want to rush out and say that I once tried to use water in my old style pneumatics parts when I was a kid. I was thinking that this could make them operate as hydraulics. However, this ruined the valves, and they have never functioned (...) (25 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: New Technic Supercar 8448

(...) But there doesn't seem to be that many parts involved in the red body, anyway, so you can simply buy 5 8448's to achieve the same thing, right? :-) Thanks for the review of the 8448, it was very interesting to read. I think the "modularity" (...) (25 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Space Original Creations Etc.

(...) It took 3-4 months off and on (mostly off) to redesign the internal structure. This really shows how strong the stud/hole connection is and how close the tolerances are to do this. Minifigs can pass thru the central corridor (you can see all (...) (25 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: My new Engine: SD70M

  Fluid inside Pneumatics

Hi everybody. I am into developing hydraulic suspension for my Technic Citroen DS project. Pneumatics are perfect as dampers, only that when I put pressure inside them they behave like springs-That's air's disadvantage, it compressess itself under (...) (25 years ago, 3-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)
