  Re: Blacktron Competition questions

(...) I believe Lego counts minifigs as three or four pieces: legs, torso/arms/head, hat/helmet/hair, and backpack/neck ornament. It would probably be best to count them the same way. --Bill. (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Vought F-4 Corsair

(...) I do, actually. It's not in my brickshelf account, yet. I need to redesign my whole web page but I just haven't made the time. (URL) the intro to the page. I did a cheesy diorama for it, as well. Just some things I had that I thought would fit (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

WWII Brikwars (was Re: Vought F-4 Corsair)

(...) Ahhhh :) Actually, Eric Joslin and I did exactly that last year (when I was just embarking upon my WWII modeling frenzy!). Eric did a fantastic 1950s-comic-book-style newsreel writeup[1]: (URL) thread in which we discuss the anachronistic (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Vought F-4 Corsair

(...) Hey, you built an F-4 too? I didn't know that. Its not on your BrickShelf gallery - do you have pictures? (...) Actually, the 3-bladed prop is WW2-era accurate. The 4 bladed prop wasn't added onto the F-4 until it served as a ground attack / (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Vought F-4 Corsair

(...) Drew!! From one F-4 builder to another, well done! I wish I had some of those black props for myself.. they look much better than the 3-blade prop I had to use on mine. Do the landing gear retract? I can't really tell from the pictures, but it (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Size of bettery box?

(...) If you are talking about the <set:5391> battery box, there is literaly just enough room for a 9VDC battery. If you limit your electronics package to the measurements of the battery, you should be OK. HTH, -Rob. (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.build)

Step 9 (Was Group Building Experiment)

So, I'm sitting here at 3am. Just a little bored OUT OF MY MIND. Perhaps I should try sleeping for a change... So anyway, I added a little something to the project. I was gonna put walls on all 4 sides, but decided to do just 2 to leave room for (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Group Building Experiment

(...) Yup. I have it right here. :D (...) Yeah, I was thinking it'd be fun to compare color schemes and improvisations as we go along. I plan on building mine as far as we take it, even if I have to change some things, which I think is part of the (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Size of bettery box?

Hello friends! The box for a 9V battery (4x8 I think), how much room is there in such one? My plan is to build some electronics for trains and I would like to put it in such a standard box. Could anyone give my the internal size i millimeters? (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: 2nd Annual Space Building Contest

I can't speak for others, but it wouldn't really bother me much if there weren't any obvious (ie, with the triangular blacktron insignia) pieces in the model. It's more a style thing with me. ~ Tom William R Ward <bill@wards.net> wrote in message (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

Re: Step 5 (Was Group Building Experiment)

I'm having quite a bit of fun with this too. Even if I cannot hope to build it for real (I realized that I didn't even have the correct size plate for the first step free). Is anyone keeping up with the construction in a real life model or has it (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: Step 7 (Was Group Building Experiment)

For this step I added 4 1x1 headlight bricks next to the original ones Steve put in. I thought they would give the SW engines some more stability. I put 2 plates on the bottom to lift the "Thing" up a bit. On top I added 4 1x3s Also if you didn't (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)
