Drew!!
From one F-4 builder to another, well done!
I wish I had some of those black props for myself.. they look much better
than the 3-blade prop I had to use on mine.
Do the landing gear retract? I can't really tell from the pictures, but it
looks like they might be able to?
I understand how tricky this plane is, and really like the wing mount area
on yours. Getting the correct angle built into that section was a real pain
for me and I ended up using sloped bricks. You've inspired me to come back
to my F-4 and rebuild it once my current project is finished.
A few suggestions, if I may: Make the wings a little longer if you can. They
look like they're about 2/3rds or so of 'proper' scale length. Lengthening
them by 4-6 studs (or .possibly. 8) would make it more proportional. And
maybe try to rebuild the tail surface using sloped bricks instead.
Regardless, you've captured the spirit of the plane exceedingly well.
Now we just need to work up a battle! We've got a few Zeros and German
fighters around here and we've got P-38's, P-40's, P-51's and F-4's...
hmm... did I miss any? :)
Keep up the great work!

The 4 bladed prop wasn't added onto the F-4 until it served as a ground attack / (...) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.military)
