Re: BLAST debut - Thank you

(...) Hi Jay! Checked out your site and it was excellent! I especially liked the trainer Mech you built... way cool! BTW, can I suggest two things? 1 - add a what's new page, so we can get to the new stuff quickly..personally I can't wait for (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Cyclone ride armor

(...) Hi Joel, Have you checked out this site yet? (URL) cool renditions of the ride armors, no bike mode tho =) Cheers! Eddy (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Do you build every set you buy?

To All, (...) Interesting question. I used to build every set I got, for awhile, I think all I got sets for was to build, and that went on through most of my LEGO collecting years, let's say from when I was 4 till at least 16 or 17. When I went to (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Do you build every set you buy?

(...) I used to build every set at least once, no matter how cheesy or ridiculous. I broke that compulsion, though, when I purchased all of the Roboriders at a nice clearance. Once I built the first two, I realized they're all pretty much identical, (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Building habits

(...) Build, not finish, photograph, build some more, photograph, repeat ad nauseum. Even the stuff I thought I was done with gets expanded. :) -JDF (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Do you build every set you buy?

(...) LOL!!! (...) I am the same, although I do have sets I bought for the set itself and not the parts, such as the Millenium Falcon and some recently acquired Classic Space sets. But on the most part, I look at a set as a collection of parts that (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Do you build every set you buy?

(...) Certainly not. In fact, I'm in the same position as you- I used to do it all the time, immediately when I got home, no matter how silly the set was or how much I had just bought it from parts. I would always put at least one copy of the set (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Do you build every set you buy?

Hmmm, I must confess to the opposite problem - I very rarely build the sets at all, and purchase them for the pieces. The only exceptions from the past 5 years or so have been the first year Star Wars sets and the Life On Mars mechs. The Star Wars (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Princess Mononoke/San -- LEGO sculpture

(...) Holy TOS! I know this is (relatively) old news, but I just saw the movie and went on Lugnet to see if anything had been said about it...and man was it in spades! I can only but wonder and ponder your extreme craziness in building such a large (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Do you build every set you buy?

(...) I'll build the first time, on the off chance that there's something funky in the design that isn't immediately obvious, but I mostly consider Lego's theme sets to be oddly designed bulk packs. :) James (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Lego Ninja Theme Chess Set

Very nice. I like the bamboo on the queens, nice touch. Actually the difference between the red/blue castles creates a unique appeal. Chris Barker chris@superfami.com (...) (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.castle.ninja, lugnet.build, lugnet.fun)

Re: Lego Ninja Theme Chess Set

(...) What kind of chess sets have you made ? Do you have pictures to share ? Just being nosy ? If I had to guess I would say some kind of castle based sets - forestmen, dragon masters ??? KK (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.castle.ninja, lugnet.build, lugnet.fun)
