A bit quiet here, anyone still look at this group? OK, I got the "Introducing Robotics with LEGO Mindstorms" and it's not bad. It uses photographs to show the model construction which can be a little unclear at times, but the descriptions with them (...) (24 years ago, 22-Sep-00, to lugnet.books)

The old LEGO book ranges are 238 (the first one 1960-68), followed by 239, 240, 241 and 242. 241 and 242 are similar. 241 is more for trains, while 242 (The LEGO Motor) is trains, planes, rockets and ships. 239-242 came out around 1968-72. I just got a hoard of old 1960's LEGO from a USA Ebay Auction over the weekend. Among the lot, I was expecting a tattered copy of the very first Lego idea book, the Building Idea Book 1 (LEGO reference #238). This book was produced from 1960-68 in (...) I don´t think so. I only know 4 of them and the new idea "pages" come in the CD´s of some of the sets, or in the lego Web pages. I was just looking over my hoard, and was looking at my copies of the 6255 comic, and noticed that it has a US and a UK version.
