  Re: Manta Airspeeder

(...) Wow, it really does have a horsehoe crab feel on the bottom. While Ogel wouldn't mind having this, I tend to think that this might be cool for the Sea Monkeys for a land invasion craft...with appropriate refinements:) Joe Meno (21 years ago, 5-Jun-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

  Re: Manta Airspeeder

Joe, (...) I was kinda surprised also when I fitted the canopy on the quarter domes that it gave the sleek look that I wanted. I see what you mean about the horshoe crab appearance from the top view. Maybe with some refinements such as weaponry (...) (22 years ago, 3-Jun-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

  Re: Manta Airspeeder

(...) Nice looking speeder..the canopy is almost meant to fit on the top of the quarter domes! And it does have an aquatic look about (tho to me it reminds me of a horseshoe crab), or even a retro look. And I want to see the bottom too:) Good job! (...)   Manta Airspeeder

(...) Alright!! I'm busy too ( actually, SORTING parts out....how tedious is that?) but hopefully soon I'll be back at the brick! (...) I'm considering a diorama and will have to check how many tan baseplates I have. I already know that the Nautilus (...) (22 years ago, 24-Apr-03, to lugnet.aquazone)

update and Sea Monkeys @ BF2k3

Hey Aquazonians, I just wanted to drop a post that after a very busy time at work, the worst appears to be over, and I actually have time to build again. So, look for more SM, aquazone, and goofy stuff from me to be popping up. I'd also like to (...) (22 years ago, 24-Apr-03, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.events.brickfest)

  piece question

Hey Sea-Monkey fans, I've got a question. What is the name of the piece you use for the Sea Monkey tail? I was thinking of doing some undersea creations but can't find that piece on Bricklink. Bruce (22 years ago, 22-Apr-03, to lugnet.aquazone)

Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle...

(...) That was pretty much the image I was going with! I wanted a ship that reeked of power and do circles around anything else underwater...mostly:) "Ahnald"? Hm, might have to give the SeaHunter a nickname:) (...) Yep, you pretty much nailed the (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle...

(...) What I like about it is the implied POWER in the wings ... they almost look like arms ... in "attack position" (I'm reminded of the Klingon BOP's wing manuverability here) it would certainly remind me of "Ahnald" coming in for the kill!!!!   Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle...

(...) Thanks! The overall look of the SeaHunter was basically a) power, b) weapons, and c) power. This should be able to give a Manta a run for its money. The wings are really hinged because I douldn't make up my mind on how I wanted the wings, so (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle...

(...) Joe, Yes, another great addition to the fleet! I like the overall shape of the craft...looks as if it's ready to take on a whole slew of squids! The hinged wings are a neat aspect to an already streamlined design. The drone looks good (...) (22 years ago, 15-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle...

(...) Thanks! (...) funny thing is, the unmanned sub really still needs a mother ship. I just literally built a barebones frame for it. Most small scale stuff is tough to do...it's really easy to overdetail or greeble things, which is why I tend to (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)
