Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle... —Joe Meno
(URL) SeaHunter, is now undergoing trial runs at Alpha Team's Sea Range. This vehicle was developed in response initially to Ogel's Manta attack vehicle. There are a variety of hard points throughout the Sea Hunter, allowing it carry whatever (...) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.announce.moc) !

Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle... —Joe Meno
(...) Thanks! It's all leading up to a diorama...once I clear my table!:) Joe Meno PS-Your new "theme" is great! I would do one, but I don't think the Newspaper Advertising Artist set would go well:) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle... —Gil Shaw
Very cool Joe...the underwater Alpha stuff is always so intriguing. The variable wing config sets it apart. I quite like the drone as well - it has more a a predatory look, perfect for waxing those Ogel zombies. Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle... —Joe Meno
(...) Thanks, Gil - and it was good to meet you online! The variable wing was originally going to be a axle setup so the engines could rotate, but I quickly learned that the ship would require gearing to keep the engines in place. Also, the ship (...)         Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle... —Nathan Todd
(...) Brilliant! I love the SeaHunter and the unmanned sub puts some recent efforts of mine on the small scale of aquazone to shame... Great work and use of old and new slants... God Bless, Nathan (22 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle... —Joe Meno
(...) Thanks! (...) funny thing is, the unmanned sub really still needs a mother ship. I just literally built a barebones frame for it. Most small scale stuff is tough to do...it's really easy to overdetail or greeble things, which is why I tend to (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle... —Joe Meno
(...) Thanks! I'm finding that Aquazone is a challenging and fun theme to play with, and with the Sea Monkeys, pretty different. Speaking of which, I spotted your calimari...beautiful work and use of the arm parts You made long graceful tentacles, (...)         Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle... —Andrew Saada
(...) Joe, Yes, another great addition to the fleet! I like the overall shape of the craft...looks as if it's ready to take on a whole slew of squids! The hinged wings are a neat aspect to an already streamlined design. The drone looks good (...) (22 years ago, 15-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle... —Joe Meno
(...) Thanks! The overall look of the SeaHunter was basically a) power, b) weapons, and c) power. This should be able to give a Manta a run for its money. The wings are really hinged because I douldn't make up my mind on how I wanted the wings, so (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle... —Jeffrey Benson
(...) What I like about it is the implied POWER in the wings ... they almost look like arms ... in "attack position" (I'm reminded of the Klingon BOP's wing manuverability here) it would certainly remind me of "Ahnald" coming in for the kill!!!! (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

Re: Alpha Team's newest sea vehicle... —Joe Meno
(...) That was pretty much the image I was going with! I wanted a ship that reeked of power and do circles around anything else underwater...mostly:) "Ahnald"? Hm, might have to give the SeaHunter a nickname:) (...) Yep, you pretty much nailed the (...) (22 years ago, 16-Apr-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)
