    Steamed Onions —Kevin Heckel
More specifically, a steampunk onion-dome dirigible. Just built this evening. Sorry about the crummy pics, think of it as "breaking coverage".         Re: Steamed Onions —Niels Bugge
(...) lol Kevin! Good work with those baroque domepieces. I might have a few after all :-) -NB (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

         Re: Steamed Onions —Kevin Heckel
(...) Thanks, Niels. I do hope I've sufficiently de-lame-ified this particular "lame part" =D. Kevin (20 years ago, 2-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

         Re: Steamed Onions —Niels Bugge
(...) Nah, sorry, you have to make a few more MOC's before I'm really convinced (at which time I'll probably decide that everything that can be made with them has been done) To tell the truth, the reason I don't like them because they're not smooth (...) (20 years ago, 4-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

         Re: Steamed Onions —Kevin Heckel
(...) Well, I'll get to work right away then ;) I'm with you as per these parts, it drove me up the wall that they didn't make a circular dome... The angles look alright to my eye, but that's subjectivity for you. I liked the Scorpion Palace enough (...) (20 years ago, 5-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

         Re: Steamed Onions —Niels Bugge
(...) What about a distillery? It must be possible to distil a lot of Whiskey in such a dome ;-) (...) Well what can one expect? There seems to be a magic boundary at around parts with a LxWxH>100 where parts turn lame (with a few exceptions above (...) (20 years ago, 6-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

         Re: Steamed Onions —Kevin Heckel
(...) Heh, that would make an awesome moonbase-- Jack Daniel's Distillery, operated by his descendant Buzz Daniels. In PCS color scheme. Yeah. (...) Now we just need to simplify your working formula, make it sound snarkier, and then I can put it on (...) (20 years ago, 6-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

         Re: Steamed Onions —Niels Bugge
(...) I was thinking more of Tech West when I said Whiskey, if you want it to be PCS, it’ll probably has to be Flash Gordon (dry) Gin. (...) What about "Parts > 100 stud^3 = lame"? (...) I can't figure out how people have time for such neither, I've (...) (20 years ago, 8-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

         Re: Steamed Onions —Kevin Heckel
(...) Yeah, but I would imagine a techwest distillery to not have clean white tank thingies. Now if they were in chrome copper... (...) Well, at that point, we may as well just make a "no BURPS" symbol. Which I couldn't wear, because I can't get (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

         Re: Steamed Onions —Niels Bugge
(...) I thought you wanted it made shorter? Has “burps” some kind of lego connonation I’m not aware of or are we OT? (...) That depends a lot on how well you’ve sorted your collection, but yes, rare parts, and parts you don’t have are of course (...) (20 years ago, 12-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

         Re: Steamed Onions —Kevin Heckel
(...) I mean Big Ugly (URL) Rock> Pieces. And the equation works for me, btw. (...) Yes, I do need to get to that whole sorting ordeal one day.. (...) You got me there. (...) What if the lame part ends up being integral in a MOC trend? (Like the Pod (...) (20 years ago, 12-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

         Re: Steamed Onions —Niels Bugge
(...) Ahaa! (...) You mean... that you haven't sorted your lego?!! Right! OK, really: How have you sorted it? (...) Yes and we’re still waiting for someone to model those oniondomes... Somebody who really likes them - like you ;-) That’s always a (...) (20 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

        Re: Steamed Onions —Mark Sandlin
(...) Ha! That is a really cool way to use those parts. Well played. -Grand Admiral .space Curator (URL) (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

         Re: Steamed Onions —Kevin Heckel
(...) Thanks, Grand Admiral. Terribly nice of you ;). Kevin (20 years ago, 2-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

Re: Steamed Onions —Christian Lindblad Rasmussen
(...) Very cool! Very ingenious! I just love it! Keem 'em coming. Christian (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

         Re: Steamed Onions —Kevin Heckel
(...) Well, thank you! :flustered: I do need to get another one of those awful magenta-colored ones, don't I? If these parts weren't so rare/expensive, I'm sure I'd have a fleet... Kevin (20 years ago, 2-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

        Re: Steamed Onions —Dan Sabath
(...) Kevin, Great work! I looked at that and went "doh". Great Job! Dan (URL) ~v Dr. RyuChief Spark(URL) RustyClank.com> (20 years ago, 1-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

         Re: Steamed Onions —Kevin Heckel
(...) Thanks, Dan! I just could not resist making a 'pune' or a play on words. I've since modified the trusty craft with a tiny smokestack and a few other things. New pictures are, um, pending. Kevin (20 years ago, 2-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

        Re: Steamed Onions —Chris Paton
(...) Hi Kevin The new pictures really do your MOC justice! The Steamed Onion is a really well put together ship that could easily be seen buzzing around, gracefully, in the Adventurers universe. Nice use of the dome(s). I have only previously seen (...) (20 years ago, 5-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

        Re: Steamed Onions —Kevin Heckel
(...) Thanks a bunch, Chris! I remember them being used on spaceships in photos of a Japanese event, and while I can't find the Brickshelf gallery offhand, I know what you're talking about =) As far as making a logo, go nuts! I'm flattered you'd (...) (20 years ago, 5-Nov-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)
