Re: New Orient theme preview in Lego Magazine

(...) Ageing minifigs - that's an interesting concept! Must be the first time it happens. Too bad you can't see Prof. Kilroy close-up in the image. I wonder what Pippin will look like, has she aged too? And what about future subthemes? Will the (...) (22 years ago, 19-Nov-02, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: New Orient theme preview in Lego Magazine

(...) Thanks John Rudy for posting the picture I referred to, right now I can't post pictures online. The shield looks like a printed 2x2 Space Radar Dish to me, with some part in the center for a handle. Tom (22 years ago, 18-Nov-02, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: New Orient theme preview in Lego Magazine

(...) All of the minifigs seems to have aged. Even the face of Johnny Thunder has changed! It looks as a new kind of shield to me. Christian (22 years ago, 18-Nov-02, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: New Orient theme preview in Lego Magazine

(...) This sounds very interesting! I have a few questions about the preview: Does it say "Orient Expedition"? Is there a logo? Are there any other minfigs? Any sets? Besides the texture what does the hat and torso look like? Is the torso some kind (...) (22 years ago, 18-Nov-02, to lugnet.adventurers)

New Orient theme preview in Lego Magazine

His torso and the hat he is wearing apear textured in the picture, like slope (...) (22 years ago, 13-Nov-02, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Thomas Bendt's ISCC entry

Wow, has everyone seen Thomas Bendt's ISCC entry for the Adventurer's theme? Really impressive - I haven't even translated the story yet: (URL) Later, Gary (22 years ago, 3-Nov-02, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: New Adventurers Orient Expedition Theme!!!

Looks like set 7417 has the large sword that has only been silver, as far as I know, in gold. Interesting.... (...) <snipped> (...) <snip again> (...) (22 years ago, 12-Oct-02, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: New Adventurers Orient Expedition Theme!!!

(...) It also appears to have a new 1x1x6 column (in red), similar to the existing 2x2x11 column (which appears in white in this set) (...) based on the Belville set pictures (which have these in trans-pink) it looks like they are half-dome pieces (...)   Re: New Adventurers Orient Expedition Theme!!!

(...) Haven't even seen the pictures yet, but all I can say is "Cool". The Adventurer's theme is one of the best theme's TLC has ever come up with (except for the Dino stuff). Glad to see it's still around. Strange coincedence too - yesterday I was (...) (22 years ago, 11-Oct-02, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: New Adventurers Orient Expedition Theme!!!

(...) Don't forget the Bengal Tiger... Unfortunately its on its standing up and not in its normal (natural) stance on four legs. Another "adventure" line-up...sans (without) Johnny Thunder. I think he literally did not survive the visit to Island of (...) (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: New Adventurers Orient Expedition Theme!!!

(...) What a great looking bunch of sets! Things that jump out at me after only a quick look: - Turbans in three new colors - The Palace set has white (straight) and red (straight & 1/4 round) spindle fences! Whoopee! - The round shields and the (...) (22 years ago, 10-Oct-02, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: 1592 Casablanca

What an original idea! I really love it. The B/W photographs is actually a nice touch too. I would never had thought about making the front fenders/mudguards that big - but it really works. The plane is a bit small but any realistic plane would be (...) (22 years ago, 21-Sep-02, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Roadster Car for Minifigs

Very nice car indeed! I too like the cover on the spare tire. I too want more of those 5 wide car bodies. I still can't believe why they used a dark grey and not a green one in 1380. Keep up the good work - Christian (...) (22 years ago, 21-Sep-02, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.town, lugnet.adventurers)

  1592 Casablanca

Hi all, Holger Matthes has posted several new 1592 variations to his gallery, including a beautiful Casablanca variation by Thekla and Huempfch. It's got a great car, plane, Sam playing it again, Ricks, etc. Check it out. Bruce (22 years ago, 19-Sep-02, to lugnet.adventurers)
