  I'm sorry

I'm sorry if anyone took my joke the wrong way. I assure you all, it was really intended to be in good fun. I know it was a breach in protocol to post to .announce and to start it a week early. I was hoping it would slowly get around to people, and (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.people, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Calling it Quits

(...) Yeah...and as you noted (and I mentioned in my message earlier) it wasn't appropriate for .announce. Its spilt milk though. I guess the fact that I know Mark gave me a slight upperhand, and the fact that he personally messaged me with the URL. (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Calling it Quits

(...) I'll tell you both one thing. I happen to remember this: (URL) at the time shocked me but turned out to be true. When I read Mark Sandlin's post in .announce earlier, I had absolutely no reason to doubt it. (...) Honestly, I've never in my (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  April Fools Day is coming

To All, Warning: April Fools Day is one week away. That means you should expect to be fooled by someone on April 1 (Sunday). Be prepared. And keep in mind that the Internet spans 24 time zones; a post made by someone early in the morning in their (...)   Re: Calling it Quits

(...) Its also sad April Fools Day is on the American calendar. What are those guys thinking? And under no circumstances is it acceptable to play an April Fools' joke a week ahead, never. (...)   Re: Calling it Quits

(...) First off, when I posted nobody had said anything about the hoax. The first 'realization-message’ came about 3 min prior to my post. Therefore, I only realized that it was a fake after I had posted mine. Secondly, it’s not cool when several (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Frank Filz <ffilz@mindspring.com> wrote in message news:3ABEC5F9.A3D7E2...ing.com... (...) I think what peeves me most about this is it got to be featured on the main Lugnet web page.   Re: Calling it Quits

(...) It isn't a joke. Perhaps I'm in a bad mood, but I really am getting sick of all these jokes, and I do have a real concern for the viability of electronic communication. I must stress however that I don't think we're that close to the brink of (...) (25 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Calling it Quits

(...) These stupid jokes are starting to get on my nerves. I'd also say that this topic is entirely off topic for this group. It isn't fun (if it wasn't a joke, it's not fun, if it is a joke, it's sick, it's definitely LEGO related and therefor off (...)   Re: Web interface "quirk"?

(...) It could probably go in either, but since this is news-related, I'm more comfortable with it being in the .nntp group. If you're talking about the TLC filter, that's pretty much entirely and .nntp thing. (...) Ya, it's a quirk (and I find it (...)   Re: Using a Lugnet member's page as a splash page for a Brickbay store.

(...) I don't have anything against using a Lugnet(TM) page as a splash page in your store. Only FYI, you can use your Brickbay "About Me" page as your splash page which you can edit right in myBrickbay and don't have to use any FTP program every (...)   Re: Turnaround Time on CLSOTW Ad Banner Submissions?

Sorry about the confusion...it's not clear on that page what it means...it's meant to be fuzzy. Check (...) (25 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

Turnaround Time on CLSOTW Ad Banner Submissions?

How long should one expect to wait for a submitted CLSOTW ad banner to be registered and added to the queue? According to: (URL) states within a day or so, pending approval. I've submitted two banners, compliant with the submission rules. The first (...) (25 years ago, 25-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

Using a Lugnet member's page as a splash page for a Brickbay store.

Well? Is it something that would be allowed? I've (briefly) tested it, and confirmed that it works, but I'm not certain about whether or not it's OK with Lugnet for me to do this. Aside from any thoughts of "appropriateness" with having Lugnet's (...) (25 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.publish, lugnet.admin.general)
