When a message gets too many replies, the last words from the early replies get pushed by the bracket ">" and they slip down to the next row. Lugnet is smart about it and puts them back (...) (...) Good question. No, it's not broken. It's just not as "smart" about repairing bad line breaks as the "All" view-mode is. Note that the actual article itself is what's broken. (...) Ya, Agreed. At the time the "Brief" view-mode was conjured up, there were relatively few messages going by with garbled line-endings, and it didn't show up much at all.
