However, I'm not inclined to think that it will be a trend that will persist--
I think once Castle World actually gets to be a developed site with
established policies, etc., the posts on LUGNET will drop dramatically.

Actually, I think a Castle World group would have long-term life - it seems
like a natural place to talk about storylines, quibble "as characters" over
borders, etc - I think it would be a cool thing.

I think all of that would go into .castle, and I *definitely* think that is
where it belongs.  After all, if I had a non-CW site, I would surely be
allowed to talk about my storyline or characters in .castle - why segregate
the people who are in CW?

I think .castle.org.cw, or whatever it winds up being, should be *solely* for
the purpose of those posts that wouldn't be present in regular .castle if
Castle World didn't exist.  That is to say, Castle World Administration Stuff.

If CW didn't exist, people could still write storylines, make MOCs and post
about them, work together on projects, even talk 'in character' in
lugnet.castle.  So I think that all of that stuff should remain in .castle.

castleworld would be for (in your words):
  administrivia and associated discussion
*maybe* entreaties to collaborate, as this is only really of interest to
CW members.  The results of such collaboration, though, would be in
    .castle!

I hope you can see why I think this is a better division of topics.

NOT in castle:
Attempts to convert - well-meaning or otherwise, not everyone wants to be in
CW, and I'd hate to see every new MOC or 'fig followed up with a "hey, submit
that to Castle World" - presumably, it'll stay high enough profile that
everyone will be aware of it, and join if they want, or not if they don't.

I can see that as being a completely reasonable request, and I for one intend to
follow it.
