Re: More old LUGNET homepage prototypes discovered

(...) Yes! The little horizontal strip of flags against the black looks great! I say bring' em back, with links to the .loc groups. I also like how all of the concepts feature "top stories". This is something that should be kept for those of us who (...) (21 years ago, 24-Feb-04, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: New homepage for LUGNET

(...) I'm not sure, if I'm the only one using the LUGNET database for consulting before buying sets? I find the notes (and the ratings) very useable, and I spend just as much time browsing the database as I do browsing the Newsgroups. I also use (...)   Re: New homepage for LUGNET

(...) Well, to clarify this issue: I called 1000steine.de an European site as it is indeed located in Europe. Just in contrast to American sites, Asian sites, etc. I never said that 1000steine.de should be the ultimate paneuropean solution to all (...)   Re: More old LUGNET homepage prototypes discovered

(...) [snip] (...) So I take it that a selection of homepages could be created based on sub-interests ex spacers castle etc. User buildable(?) and no change other than default theme-format in a cookie or member info. Our pre-view test via member (...) (21 years ago, 24-Feb-04, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Taking LUGNET to the next level

(...) Excellent idea. Yes, more international involvement before too long. (...) Kelly (he -- Irish name) is of Portland, Oregon. (...) Indeed! (...) I agree gtg --Todd (21 years ago, 24-Feb-04, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.org, FTX)

More old LUGNET homepage prototypes discovered

Whoa, I'd totally forgotten about these... These are a few prototypes from the last LUGNET homepage makeover process, which was May to August of 2000. As you can see it was somewhat iterative. I'm throwing these out here as food for thought. For (...) (21 years ago, 24-Feb-04, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.announce, FTX) !

  Re: T-Shirts

(...) I too hope I am not stepping on anyones toes but... I have a brother who does silk screened tshirt (www.gridlock.com). I could twist his arm and get him to do the shirts at very little (or no expected) cost to lugnet. I hope I can help. I (...)   w00t! Fund Drive for LUGNET Servers

We appreciated your patience during the downtime today Thank you for bearing an unusually long downtime today. We certainly weren't expecting a 9-hour outage simply for the replacement of a disk. You may have noticed on the LUGNET homepage during (...)   We are back up

(...) Well, we are back up. As I'm sure you noticed, downtime was greather than 10 minutes. What took so long was double-checking the integrity of everything carefully after the swap (and making an additional full backup before making any changes to (...)   Re: Taking LUGNET to the next level

(...) Hear hear! I'll speak the same for myself (and as much as I have the power to do so, the same for the LEGO MindStorms Forums). LEGO is such a community-focused product that I think it's the least I can do to offer my help if it's wanted. Just (...) (21 years ago, 23-Feb-04, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.org, FTX)

  Re: New homepage for LUGNET

(...) Very nice! My only complaint is that all the black is gone, leaving the page with too much white space. But everything else is great. Marc Nelson Jr. (21 years ago, 23-Feb-04, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.publish.html, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: New homepage for LUGNET

Re: Taking LUGNET to the next level

May I suggest you should consider asking one or two international representatives as well (unless Kelly is, because she (he?) apparently isn't a Lugnet member and I have never met them)? I'm (...)   Re: New homepage for LUGNET

I'm not trying to defend or condemn anybody, but that's bad logic to just say "trust me.." and not give any reason. Your next sentence provides a reason, (...)   Re: New homepage for LUGNET
