Re: What happened to the new servers?

(...) Then I would like some clarification from someone who knows, so I X-posted to .finance. Have they or haven't they? James Wilson Lugnet member 1783 (19 years ago, 3-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.admin.finance)

Re: What happened to the new servers? (Was Re: Lugnet: WAKE UP!)

(...) As far as I know (back when the Admins resigned) the servers were waiting for something or another to happen. Some problem with the domain name or whatever. But no, the servers have not been brought into service. (Again, as far as I know, I (...) (19 years ago, 2-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.general) !

  Re: Lugnet: WAKE UP!

(...) I agree with this 100%. Suz, despite what I may have said elsewhere, I have immeanse respect for you and especially what you have done with Lugnet. But the time has come to make a choice one way or the other. -Lenny (19 years ago, 2-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Lugnet: WAKE UP!

(...) Thank you for this Suz (and Todd?). I realise that it must have been a hard decision to make but I feel it was the right one under the circumstances.   Re: Lugnet: WAKE UP!

It's really a shame to see that Lar's worst nightmare (which I hope what it was...) is really coming true... about a year ago I couldn't have been more happy reading Rene Hoffmeister of 1000steine taking over control of LUGNET. However both (...) (19 years ago, 2-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Lugnet: WAKE UP!

(...) (URL) Eric, I really think at this point just admitting you were wrong and saying you're sorry would be the coolest thing to do. j o n (19 years ago, 2-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

  Re: Lugnet: WAKE UP!

(...) -snip- I dare say, you are one of the people who thinks its a joke what I go through. Only after it spins out of control do you say something. Never trying to help. Never taking seriously the abuse I endure. Your post mentions nothing of the (...) (19 years ago, 2-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Alternatives to Lugnet? Was: Re: Lugnet: WAKE UP!

(...) Oh... the other part of my response was going to be that I have my own server and my own fixed IP address and it's been tempting to start a site with the characteristics you listed. (19 years ago, 1-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

Re: Alternatives to Lugnet? Was: Re: Lugnet: WAKE UP!

(...) I like that last line. LEGOFan.org is one place. However, like LUGNET, it is currently flying without a pilot, and things that need to be fixed aren't getting fixed there either. Still, I enjoy some of the conversation over there. (19 years ago, 1-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

Alternatives to Lugnet? Was: Re: Lugnet: WAKE UP!

(...) Yeah, uh, this is a little too much for me. One of the things that I love about lego is that I look forward to sharing this hobby with my kids someday. I would love to share an online community with them too, someplace where we can both get (...) (19 years ago, 1-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

  Re: Lugnet: WAKE UP!

(...) I debated and debated whether to post to this thread. I don't want anyone to think for a second that any of what I'm about to say applies in any sort of official, quasi-official, or post-official sorta way. What I'm about to say is my own (...)   Re: Lugnet: WAKE UP!

(...) So who (in your view) *IS* part of the solution? You've already said you don't think Todd & Suz are, or these mysterious mockers. Maybe a re-formed LPRC? Who would be the members, do you think? What other solution do you have? Maybe you think (...) (19 years ago, 1-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Lugnet: WAKE UP!

(...) Well, I *am* pretty disillusioned at this point, so that's a valid (and astute) observation on your part. It's always sad to see something deteriorate, especially something that you invested considerable emotional capital(1) in making a (...) (19 years ago, 1-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.general)
