Re: Replying via the Internet Site - DISREGARD

(...) So it was a case of not being able to [subconsciously and immediately] determine whether the page was an existing-aritcle display or a new-article posting page? --Todd (25 years ago, 5-May-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Faster-loading pages for super-long threads

(...) Thank you Todd, you have done us all a great service. Several seconds, indeed. My browser took 24 seconds to format that thread tree, and that's on a Pentium 233. I won't even attempt it on my slower machines. - Robert Munafo (25 years ago, 23-Jul-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Web interface to LUGNET news moving from www.lugnet.com to news.lugnet.com

(...) The member pages will stay on www, not move to news, right? If so, when we include articles in our FTX pages will anything change? I assume that you'll make them work just like they do now (leave out the "(URL) but I wanted to make sure. Ben (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jul-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Replying via the Internet Site - Question

Todd, If I click on the Reply button to respond to a message from the www.lugnet/news/post site, it will not let me change the group that the reply will go to. The "To:" field is locked. I wanted to reply to a message that is currently directed to (...) (25 years ago, 4-May-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: email setup

(...) I'm not sure if Nortel Canada runs their mail servers the same way Nortel Raleigh does, but every couple of months or so, I see errors occuring from all the Nortel subscribers to a listserve I run. After a day or two, the errors go away, (...) (24 years ago, 1-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  New newsgroup lugnet.sports for Football/Soccer

A new newsgroup lugnet.football has just been created. Brad Justus of LEGO Direct said that Soccer (i.e., Football) is officialy not part of the Town product line and that it's its own product line. Going by this and by the set numbers, it seems (...) (24 years ago, 3-Aug-00, to lugnet.sports, lugnet.town, lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.announce)

  Is News-By-Mail working?

Part way through the day yesterday I stopped getting any message from Lugnet. And now its been over 24 hours now since I've received any messages from the Lugnet News-by-mail server. Is it down?
