  Re: MOC: Lars Family Homestead

(...) Thank you. (...) I had a litte apprehension about building this off the ground, but then I remembered that while this only brings the ground level about three bricks up, the whole pit will bring it up about fifteen bricks. It's kinda cool that (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.starwars, FTX)

Re: What would be the LEGO equivalent to the new Barbie clothing line?

(...) 10030 fulfilled my fantasies. The first time I saw Star Wars on the big screen I wanted to build a Star Destroyer out of LEGO. I did not have enough bricks to do it justice. The first time I saw an ad for the ISD I knew I "needed" to own it. (...) (20 years ago, 15-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

Modified Lego and new uses for old pieces.

Although I don't condone modifying Lego, I have to say I don't discourage it either. One example that I use, is removing faces off of Minifig heads. A few alcohol wipes do nicely. I get some nice 1x1 fat round bricks this way. I have already (...) (20 years ago, 14-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Bulk Bricks online survey - results...

(...) I agree that the results indicate a huge desire for roof bricks. However, if the assorted roof brick packs are revived, I think TLG needs to re-think the part assortment in those packs. I managed to get 30 of the 5216 black roof bricks when (...) (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.lego)

The survey seems to say "bring back #5216 roof bricks and the red one, plus grey 2x2 tiles (alas)." Something we can agree on anyway. Only a few items stake out new ground for bulk. Or more colors of the mixed roof and tile packs we have now. -Erik (20 years ago, 25-May-04, to lugnet.lego)

Like many of you I have purchased a few of the new Harry Potter sets.
