I agree that the results indicate a huge desire for roof bricks. However, if
the assorted roof brick packs are revived, I think TLG needs to re-think the
part assortment in those packs.
I managed to get 30 of the 5216 black roof bricks when they were available (and
10 of the red one). I used up the 2x4 slope and 2x2 convex slope VERY quickly,
but I was left with a ton of the 2x2 concave slope and most of the double slopes
(1x2, 2x2, and 2x4) at the end. I had to buy additional packs of just the 2x4
slopes.
I guess it's a bit of a slippery slope (no pun intended) when it comes to part
assortments. For small roofs (rooves?) the existing assortment isn't too bad,
but for large roofs you don't need very many 2x2 concaves or double slopes. TLG
should also remember to include the "1x2 triple" and "1x2 double/inverted"
slopes in all future assorted roof brick packs. Fortunately, I was able to
obtain these pieces in black from other sets.
And yes, I would love a larger colour selection for the 2x2 tiles!
