Re: 2004 Alpha Team: The Good, the Bad, and the Jack Stone

(...) Oops. Perhaps my wording was vague, but you're correct. The fingers are indeed compatible, though the bricks/plates themselves are not overly similar. I would guess that they're not sufficiently idential to be in danger of patent infringement. (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New LEGO Stores!

(...) Snip... (...) I'm really not concerned over selection... I could care less over color, really, as long as you have some type of basic bricks. I'm just excited to see a PaB and buy ANYTHING in a closer-to true bulk layout. Any idea as to when (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: 2x4 Brick model?

(...) Well thank you very much Darrell. As for the parts for the 7 inch (well 7 and half actually, but who is counting?) brick they are all pretty easy to come by, at least in that colour (red). The big brick is 7 layers of bricks high. The block (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jun-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: New TLC Mindstorms survey

(...) Well, I had to respond to the survey - how could I not!!! More ports and more sensor choices was my main message. I must say, having built numerous active sensors for RCX, I don't think I'd class the interface as hard to live with. Its cheap - (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jun-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Re: Is this for real?

There are enough obviously real Duplo pieces in there (horse, pot, 2*2 and 4*2 bricks, various plates, sloped bricks, ladder, ball) for me to think this is probably real, and as Mark pointed out the figs in the picture do compare well with the new (...)
