| | Re: LEGO makes Time Magazine
|
| Hey, I just got the issue today. I'm in Time! Well, not by name, but the site "devoted to Lego depictions of Lord of the Rings" is me, unless there is another site out there I don't know of. Here's the article: "Toys Kicks from Plastic Bricks How it (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jun-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)

| | Re: Need help making a skyscraper
|
| Hi Rex, I have built many sky-scrapers. You can see them here: (URL) tend to use as much "glass" (windows) as possible. This saves on bricks and makes the structure much lighter. The light weight limits the amount of structural stress on the (...) (25 years ago, 22-Apr-00, to lugnet.build)

| | Re: The Brick Testament - The Teachings of Jesus

| (...) Thanks! (...) I'm somewhat satisfied with how the Oval Office turned out. It's recognizeable, which is the main thing. The real one has white-paned windows, not red, but as someone once said, "You go to build with the army of bricks you have, (...) (18 years ago, 14-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)

| | Re: SCLTC Sets World Record for Largest US Flag

| (...) Club members built the first 6 rows by working on top of a pattern (a mirror image of a stripe, turned upside down so it would not stick). The shape gets locked in as soon as there are two rows of bricks in place. We used 6 rows to increase (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jul-05, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX)

| | Log Cabin on the water front
|
| Hi, everybody. I would like to show off my new Log Cabin using those Log bricks, but on their sides. Just trying to come up with more ideas on using the bricks in different ways. I used 4 technic beams on their sides as the foundation creating a (...) (21 years ago, 30-Sep-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.announce.moc) !

| (...) I think the most rare LEGO pieces are the 'swirl' bricks. Long ago, with the old injection machines, when changing from one color to another, they'd get a few swirled color pieces. With each one being unique, I'd bet the swirled bricks would (...) (22 years ago, 1-Apr-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.minifigs)
