| | Re: 3D printers
|
| (...) Agreed. I've seen people print 2x2 bricks, but just for fun. One thing I've considered is to use a reprap to print foundations for hills in a layout, so I only need to use bricks and plates for the visible top layer of the hills. For that (...) (13 years ago, 28-Feb-12, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

| (...) *snip* Good point, Mike. When the color recipe is changed over to a new one, the ABS pellets in the hopper feeding the injection molding process will probably begin mixing with the existing pellets from the existing recipe. | | Re: Build Master Yoda model (10ft tall) traveling show
|
| I saw Yoda last weekend at FAO Schwartz NYC. A Lego employee mentioned 80,000 was the number of elements in it. Yoda is built of scaled-up "bricks" 10x20x5. They are made from 2x10 and 2x6 bricks shell with 2x10 covering the top. Kids get to make (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-02, to lugnet.starwars)

| For me it was not a MOC or Lugnet that pulled me out from the "dark" ages, but that I could hide behind the Minstorm set and say to my friends that I was "programing" (most of my friends are computer-nerds :) But when starting to make my own robots (...)
