I saw Yoda last weekend at FAO Schwartz NYC.
A Lego employee mentioned 80,000 was the number of elements in it.
Yoda is built of scaled-up "bricks" 10x20x5. They are made from 2x10 and 2x6
bricks shell with 2x10 covering the top. Kids get to make these while the
adults pound them into the sculpture with a mallet. There are 34 bricks in
each brick.
In addition to the tan and green, there are a huge number of transparent
elements in the light saber.
I wonder if the 2x10 surplus colors at LLC are the result of past events
like this one?
