| (...) Makes sense. Except I think it's better just to sell them in pairs because you never know how many blinds you will need... it depends on what you are building... a 4-12-2 for example needs more blinds than a 4-4-0 does (21 years ago, 10-Nov-03, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

| Possibly Ben should get some franchises! My suggestion would be someone for Europe, based in Germany probably and someone in Australia (possibly somone in Japan as well). | I just phoned Bricks and Blocks, the store which sells LEGO in St Jacobs at the Farmer's Market. They said they'll have the 8436 ( (URL) ) sometime in August, $116. :D :D :D :D I haven't bought LEGO in so long. So excited! I wonder what the box (...) | (...) Better still, avoid the dremel by buying second hand some old 2x4s, which have no tubes underneath. Fill with plasticine or similar denser material that doesn't get too hot (i.e. not solder), leaving 1.6mm depth free for the studs of the brick (...) (20 years ago, 13-Aug-04, to lugnet.parts.mod)

| (...) Yes, always wash your hands after handling solder! (...) I see the melting point of standard solder (63% tin, 37% lead) is 183 deg C. If I held a soldering iron and a reel of solder over an invered brick and dripped molten solder into the (...) (20 years ago, 18-Aug-04, to lugnet.parts.mod)

| (...) And speaking of rare 1x6 and 1x8 beams with names, I just saw a German Bricklink seller selling a 1x6 "ANNO 1762" named beam from the #309 Church set of 1958-62, for $36.75! This particular named beam is not part of the #226 named beam parts (...) (20 years ago, 27-Aug-04, to lugnet.general)
