And speaking of rare 1x6 and 1x8 beams with names, I just saw a German Bricklink
seller selling a 1x6 "ANNO 1762" named beam from the #309 Church set of 1958-62,
for $36.75! This particular named beam is not part of the #226 named beam parts
pack, and commands premium prices.
But even named beams from the #226 set could command some decent prices. In
great condition, I could see spending $15 for an "ESSO SERVICE", or $20 for a
"GROCERY" named beam. But others, such as GARAGE and TAXI (TAXA, TAXE) are so
plentiful, they are worth much less.
