Re: Lego Buildings with 4 Walls

4 walls was done before, see US set 560 or it's european 376 version. As for abandoning the minifig, that's the reason kids like town, it allows them to recreate things in everyday life. It's such a strong part of the brand recognition I very much (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-05, to lugnet.general)

(19 years ago, 29-Apr-05, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

  Lego Buildings with 4 Walls

I was looking at the #4886 Designers set in the Lugnet set database yesterday. And there were a few things that troubled me about it. Not the design per se, but just the whole concept of going from a "minifig" environment (3 walls, juniorized parts, (...) (19 years ago, 1-May-05, to lugnet.general)

  Brickfest dark room

Ok, fine, lets do this as a open theme room. I'm thinking we do one side of the room in blacklight for all those nifty trans neon colors and the other side as dark as safety will allow for the people who want to do stuff with lighted brick. If you (...) (19 years ago, 2-May-05, to lugnet.events)

  A Grest Star Wars Weekend!

Re: Am I the only one who hates Lego parts with missing notches of plastic?

One way which TLG could go forward on this would be to place a studlet (partial stud) on the top of the macaroni bricks, that fits quite snug into the notch. You would then end up with an effect like the 2x2 round bricks stacked. This would give a (...) (20 years ago, 28-Apr-05, to lugnet.parts)

(...) snip (...) I don't have very many macaroni bricks, so I'm not running into issues with the notch in that part. They don't have any dark grey 1x8 technic bricks in the ISD but they do have black 1x8 technic bricks - maybe this was confusing you somewhat?
