| | Art Deco (Moderne) buildings using log bricks.
|
| I've been playing with some of those log bricks lately (mostly tan or white), and when you stack them up, they give a nice "Art Deco" appearance that a lot of old buildings in the 1920's and 1930's have - sort of a "Terra Cotta" sculptured look that (...) |
| In a fit of boredom, I worked out the volumes of bricks once, studs were not included in the calculations. 1x1, 1x2, 1x3, 1x4, 2x2, 2x3, 2x4 and 1x6 were done. Even though the volumes are at best approximate, would anyone want them for the (...) (26 years ago, 3-Jan-99, to lugnet.faq)

| | lack of basic bricks in many new sets

| I was thinking about the current perception of "LEGO sets", compared to the way we AFOLs looked at sets when we were kids. Many of the new sets have very few 'basic bricks', and some of the sets (like Bionicle) don't have any basic bricks. Do we (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jun-02, to lugnet.dear-lego)
