  Re: The Brick Testament: More Laws than You Can Shake a Stick At

(...) Ho, ho, ho. @8^) (...) I'm sure I got that idea from someone else, sticking the minifig hands through the end of the chains. I think it was someone's catsle's torture chamber. (...) Thanks. It's velvet. (...) I keep getting new ideas for (...) (21 years ago, 16-Oct-03, to lugnet.build.ancient)

  Re: News Item from Fox News - Lego-Style Islamic Terrorist Figurine Sparks Outrage (Brickarms)

(...) I just want to know one thing. Where's the beard? I mean, seriously, where's this beard they're talking about? It sounds like the minifig is being identified as a Muslim terrorist on the basis that he's got a beard, but I don't see one (...) (16 years ago, 5-Dec-08, to lugnet.market.brickshops)

  Re: LEGO NBA Draft has started...

Ahui & All, (...) Well, it still doesn't make any sense though. The actors are just as real as NBA players, and they also have various skin colors, as I can meet mark Hamilton or Harrison Ford. I think they are on thin ice here, I wish they would (...) (22 years ago, 30-Oct-02, to lugnet.general)

  Minifigs=Mongols?

First at all I apologize all possible LEGO fans with Mongol origin but this strange idea hurts me from some time. I was thinkering about LEGO domestic animals and list was not so long: horses, cats, parrots (are they domestic?) and hawks/falcons (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jun-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Lego Ethnicity At Last?

Well, I for one am not so impressed with this new enthusiasm for Lego ethnicity. Firstly, the NBA players appear to be standard height minifigs. Now maybe it's just a consequence of living upside down here in Australia, but when I look at NBA (...) (22 years ago, 18-Nov-02, to lugnet.general)

  Re: who's feelin the black pack?

(...) I've mostly stayed out of this discussion, but I've got some questions to ask. I'm not generally opposed to the idea of dark "skinned" minifigs (DSM), but I'm going to play devils advocate here for a minute. Lets say that TLG does in fact go (...)   Re: Lando poll

Wow.. and I never knew anyone cared... but to add something: yellow (like in the Simpsons) only denotes 'lighter skin tones', which includes not only caucasians, but also japanese, native americans, etc. The benefit to this point of view is (...) (...) Ironically, LEGO does this to avoid any controversy about race. Their argument is that if they do release Mace in a brown color, yellow will automatically represent caucasian. But LEGO considers yellow to be yellow, not caucasian, black, red (...) (22 years ago, 30-Mar-03, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.general)
