Is it possible that the bagged Infomaniac figure was a promotional item that could have been handed out to buyers and then only in specific (...) | (...) not (...) figure (...) only (...) set. It had a specified end date, it took a while for me to get the fig, I later saw boxes marked "special figure included" or whatever the phrasing was. | After sorting through the box, I was able to assembly some complete minfigs (most of the heads are not original and only 1 of the helmets has its visor): 5 Wild West black bandits (4 missing scarfs), 3 Willas (1 missing a hat, no capes), 4 red Ninja (...) | I can understand the partial minifigs - if somebody wants a black witch hat but has no use for an entire witch it's silly for them not to leave the rest of the fig in the box. | (...) Nope. The 'first edition' of LEGO Island included both the limited-edition InfoManiac minifig, and a manual/comic book. I'm not sure if that's the same comic as you mentioned.
