  A Project In Planning

Hi Ya, I am a team member of a team that is planning to build a robotic platform for a research project. What we want to do is build a platform with a Handy Board and a PC on it. The HB will deal with the drive motors (through and interface card to (...) (28 years ago, 10-May-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Continuation of the quest to understand the SPI port

Hi, Under Interactive C, something is resetting bits 6 and 4 of the SPCR register (0x1028). Whenever we try poke(0x1028,0x5C); and then do a peek(0x1028), we always get back 0x0C!!! Trying to figure out whether this was an instantaneous thing or (...) (28 years ago, 12-May-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  SPI Bus problem solved!!!!!!

Hi-dee ho, I'm happy to report that I've successfully gotten a Handyboard to communicate to a Miniboard via the Synchronous Serial bus (SPI). The secret was (as I alluded to in my last post on the subject) setting the DDRD (Data direction for port (...) (28 years ago, 16-May-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Expansion interface status

(...) Yes. The current status is "on hold" while I rethink the feature set. I'm considering doing something more like Scott Edward's little servo board for HB expansion: that is, a collection of small, physically detached boards. For servo's, I (...) Hi Patrick, I assume that you're using the stock S4282/LED setup? It is possible to get better range using a slightly different configuration. The range is largely a function of the the LEDs intensity. Since the S4282 modulates the LED at 1/16th (...) (28 years ago, 6-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
