I don't know if this is common knowledge or not ... I know I found it the hard way: jpeg does not necessarily mean "lossy" compression. You can (with a conversion program, I use Firehand Ember), convert from .xxx to .jpg without loosing information. (...) (26 years ago, 2-Feb-99, to lugnet.publish)

I had a problem converting it to povray though, one piece 3039exp.dat was not found. 3039 is a 2x2 sloped brick and I assume this is a decorated version with a control panel on it, I've replaced it with a plain 3039 for (...)   DiMill simulating LUGNET cut.
 
I have put up a Quicktime movie of the DIMill simulating LUGNET being cut. I will have to find a very large piece of bread to toast for the real cut. Need a loaf to slice lengthwise. I actually went and purchased a bungee chopper (8202) just to create a bungee launcher for the Lego counter-weight pieces. The 9v motors don't wind the bungee cord too well without some extreme gearing to increase torque but they really get the (...) (26 years ago, 3-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)
