  Re: Marking articles as 'read'

In lugnet.admin.suggestions, Ross Crawford writes: <snip> I think I've shown already where Todd said that the code change would not be "large" to do this. (but *any* code change is large, some just are larger). The data structure already exists. (...) (23 years ago, 7-Apr-02, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

(...) 12V stuff! Frank's swan song with you guys?? Diggin' that sawmill. It looks (wait for it....) sharp! What's up with all the cars full of different monochromatic stuff (silver/chrome, gold, trans red, etc...) what was that supposed to be?   Re: santafe warbonnet gp 40

(...) Yes. Oh, and adding to my other post, I think it only prototypically goes on noses, not sides. But why be prototypical? :-) (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: santafe warbonnet gp 40

(...) Yes, I believe you are correct. It does have some resemblance to one. It was used on a blue/yellow (non warbonnet) F scheme as well as a blue/yellow (warbonnet) F scheme but I don't think it was ever applied to a GP40, was it? Could easily be (...)   Re: santafe warbonnet gp 40

(...) This paint scheme needs big "Santa Fe" letters on the side and no elongated cross/ellipse sticker, though, if you want to be prototypical. But why do that? The Herald sticker will look nice too. (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Web interface for cancelling articles

Read the second ref and posts near it in the tree, including Todd's comments, LUGNET already knows (still does, even though the rating system was modified) who has rated posts and thus could know all history for all readers of the web (...) (...) Yes, thanks for that clarification/amplification, I missed that post in my troll! If LUGNET starts autogenning footers, some curators would just have to go turn their hand inserted stuff off, which is no big deal at all. Apropos: Does FTX have (...)   Provide a skip/filter mechanism to ignore users

It was suggested in the past that a mechanism to allow the ignorance of users be implemented: (URL) would apply to the web interface, (and mail too, perhaps) as you have a way to do it from news. (23 years ago, 5-Apr-02, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)
